Electrum is another popular Bitcoin wallet that has been around for nearly a decade. Electrum Bitcoin Wallet has been available for all devices since 2011 and was one of the most widely used wallet applications before other alternatives emerged. Bitcoin Wallet Electrum now supports Lightning Online Payments According to Coindesk July 11th, Bitcoin Wallet Electrum now supports Lightning Web Payments. It has previously been reported that Bitcoin Wallet Electrum has released a beta version of Electrum 4.0, adding support for the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
By default, electrum wallets are randomly connected to a set of Electrum servers. Active Directory services are known to be a core component of the Windows platform, which stores information about network objects. Objects look for each other with a Windows feature called DNS name devolution, a network shorthand method that makes it easy to find other computers or servers without having to specify a full legal domain name for those resources.
The Healthy Security Lab is concerned that Nearly 250 bitcoins have been stolen in a recent hacking attack on an Electrum wallet. This attack, confirmed by Electrum, involves creating a fake version of the wallet to trick users into providing password information. Electrum responded on Twitter that "this is an ongoing phishing attack on Electrum users and advised users to download wallet apps from the official website" and that The Healthy Security Lab advised users not to install an unknown source of Electrum wallets to avoid being tricked.
